During the 4-day trek to Machu Picchu, along the Inca Trail, we pass through various mountains, valleys and waterfalls … It was very interesting to note the Flora in the region.
Of course, it is not very easy to note all this during the physical exertion (climbing up and down with significant weight!). But I highly recommend that one takes regular breaks during the trek to enjoy the views. The weather is quite fickle and I experienced rains, fog, snow, hail and bright sunlight, all in 4 days!
There was no time to set up DSLR, Tripod Etc. (In fact, I did not carry a Tripod, as it was not allowed within the Machu Picchu complex (to preserve the fragile structures)). Keep in mind that the trekking group goes at a decent pace, especially the porters (Man! Can those guys carry weight or what …). Almost all the photos published here are taken with my phone camera.
Personally, I like the Cactus the best … There is something picturesque about Cacti with awesome backgrounds 🙂
Adios!
