Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Tefe, Manaus, Foz do Iguaçu Etc. had wonderful markets. It was an experience just to stroll around these markets and I did try various snacks in these markets. The most wonderful experience, for me, was the bright colors all around. I love fruits and I have been to many tropical countries, but even then, I was seeing some of those fruits for the very 1st time.
Cashew! I always used to wonder why the taste of the Cashew fruit never caught on … Yes, it does take some getting used to. It is quite pungent …Mangoes … Well, India has no dearth of Mangoes … I liked these ones as well 🙂How is this for a fruit spread?Cured meats …Meat shop … Well, one does not find too many Vegetarians in South America 🙂Another plethora of colors …Just stacking these fruits up like this will take ages …Those are some massive Strawberries …Here is a fruit I am seeing for the 1st time …Figs …Durian … One has to have nose made of steel to try this 🙂
