Belgrade fortress … [Serbia]

Belgrade Fortress is right at the confluence of River Sava and the great Danube. I went during the weekend and hence it was a bit crowded. It was nice to visit the various souvenir stalls and I made several purchases, after some haggling 🙂

The fortress was built in 279 BC and for many centuries this fortress was all of Belgrade. Since the fortress is around 65 acres, there are a lot of pathways for a good stroll.
