Cesky Krumlov is around 2.5hr drive from Prague and I would highly recommend a visit if your schedule permits. I had used a bus and could not stop at many points on the way 🙁 If you can rent a car that is even better.
During the drive from Prague, we cross many small villages …The highway is quite scenic and in great condition …Another view of the highway … On the way to Cesky Krumlov.We went in December and as expected, it was very cold 🙂 The skyline of Cesky Krumlov, as can be seen in this picture, is very nice.When you walk through the Old Town, you can see cute stores like this one …St. Vitus Cathedral, Old Town, Cesky Krumlov. It was everywhere … We tried the basic version, without ice-cream or any other condiments.Bohemian glass-works … I did not buy any as it was tough to carry around with me.The river Vltava flows through Cesky Krumlov and it is the same river we see in Prague as well. Vltava is the longest river in Czech Republic.The pretty souvenirs were very tempting … I had to keep an eye on the weight I was carrying around.The soup was so-so … But the beer!
